Czechia’s flag has equal white and red horizontal bands with a blue triangular wedge extending from the hoist to the center of the flag.

The upper half is white and the lower half red. A blue wedge fills the hoist edge and reaches an apex halfway along the flag’s 2:3 length. Czech law names the state colors in the order white, red, and blue.

Construct a 2:3 rectangle and divide it horizontally into equal halves. Draw the wedge from both hoist corners to the geometric center. When hung vertically, the white area appears at the viewer’s left, red at the right, and the blue wedge points downward from the top.
Historical record
The white-over-red bicolor drew on the colors of Bohemia. A blue wedge was added to the Czechoslovak flag in 1920, distinguishing it from similar bicolors and representing the wider state. Following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, Czech Act No. 3/1993 retained the design as a symbol of the Czech Republic.
