Slovenia’s current national flag has equal white, blue and red horizontal bands and the national arms toward the hoist. The legal rectangle is twice as long as it is high.
Specification
Article 6 specifies the stripe order and arms spanning the white and blue fields. The blue shield contains white Mount Triglav, two blue wavy lines representing the sea and rivers, and three golden six-pointed stars arranged two above one. Red borders the shield. Constitution, Article 6 ↗

The statutory annex, transcribed by Heraldica Slovenica, places the arms’ center at the quarter-length point on the white-blue boundary and makes their height one-third of the hoist. The retrieved vector’s arms had vertical bounds approximately 1.052–3.052. This local specimen shifts the complete arms upward by 0.052 units to put their midpoint on y=2, giving bounds approximately 1–3. Its horizontal centerline is approximately x=3; curved coordinates remain rounded. The three stars, two waves and red side edging were visually inspected. The SVG keeps the source paths and screen colors; explicit intrinsic dimensions and an explicit zero in one horizontal translation improve rendering portability.
This is an editorially aligned reference reproduction. Detailed curves have not been certified against the original engraved construction drawing; use the government’s linked artwork and physical color references for production. A general ratio calculator supplies overall dimensions only.
Usage
The 1994 law provides for permanent display at principal state institutions, border crossings and diplomatic missions, holiday display, ceremonial use and half-mast mourning. Historical record
The Government Communication Office traces the tricolor’s colors to the arms of Carniola and its national use to 1848. It dates formal adoption of the present flag to 24 June 1991. A separate government account dates the independence ceremony and flag raising in Ljubljana to 26 June 1991, following the independence documents of 25 June. These are distinct milestones. The detailed symbols act was adopted on 20 July 1994, reconsidered on 20 October, proclaimed on 21 October and published on 27 October.
