Uzbekistan’s national flag has blue, white, and green horizontal bands separated by narrow red lines. A white crescent and twelve white five-pointed stars occupy the upper hoist. It was adopted on 18 November 1991 and has a hoist-to-fly ratio of 1:2.
Specification
Law No. 407-XII, Article 4, describes saturated blue, white, and saturated green bands with red borders around the white band. The crescent and stars appear on both sides near the hoist; the crescent opens toward the fly.

Cabinet Resolution No. 316 of 30 December 1991 explicitly allows other sizes while retaining 1:2 proportions and conformity to the approved illustrations.

The inspected law gives color names and an illustration, without numerical RGB, HEX, Pantone, or RAL specifications. The following fills belong to this SVG only. They are screen approximations, not physical color standards.

The inspected SVG has viewBox 0 0 500 250: twice the numerical dimensions of the legal model. Visible band heights are 80:5:80:5:80. Two radius-30 circles centered at (70, 40) and (80, 40) construct the crescent. Twelve upright stars have outer radius 6, with centers spaced 24 units apart: x = 136, 160, 184 at y = 16; x = 112, 136, 160, 184 at y = 40; and x = 88, 112, 136, 160, 184 at y = 64.
The field, band schedule, outer-circle sizes, hoist offset, and star count and spacing match the stated dimensions. The law also places the lower star row 3.5 cm from the crescent’s lower end, without naming the star reference point in the prose. The SVG’s bottom-row centers are 3 cm above the outer circle’s bottom, so that clause is not claimed as verified. Nor does the prose specify the inner crescent circle. The Commons construction analysis identifies equal inner and outer radii as a reconstruction assumption. For manufacture, use the approved schematic and color illustrations, as Article 10 requires; this specimen and general ratio tools do not certify conformity.

Historical record
The government’s state-symbols account dates adoption to the Supreme Council’s eighth session on 18 November 1991. LexUZ gives the same effective date. This record covers the continuing national design; later amendments to its legal framework are not separate adoption dates. The consolidated law inspected lists revisions through 10 October 2024.
Official interpretation
The government associates blue with sky and water, white with peace and good fortune, green with nature and new life, and red with vitality. The new moon represents the newly independent republic. The twelve stars evoke historical culture, the solar calendar, and aspirations toward perfection. These explanations are separate from construction rules; the cited account does not make the stars a count of administrative regions.
Use and display
The flag represents the republic internationally. Article 5 covers official buildings, diplomatic display, and ceremonies, and permits other respectful uses. The government also describes its use by delegations and at exhibitions and sporting events. Resolution No. 316 requires displayed flags to be intact and retain their colors.
